OPTION 1: Itinerary
Day 1
Departure from M’Hamid by 4×4 at around 3:00 pm for the dunes of Erg Chegaga. The route follows the tracks across the Draa hamada for approximately two hours, with a stop at the Sacred Oasis. On arrival at the great dunes, you can try sandboarding using the boards available at the desert camp. You will then climb the dunes to watch the sunset from one of the highest points. Return to the camp for mint tea, traditional songs, dinner and an overnight stay in a nomad tent.
Day 2
After breakfast, depart with your driver and return to M’Hamid via the Oued Latach track, arriving at approximately 11:00 am.
OPTION 2: Itinerary
Day 1
Departure from M’Hamid by 4×4 at around 9:00 am, following the sandy track towards Oued Latach, where we stop to admire the panoramic views.
Continue to the Sacred Oasis and stop at the spring beneath the palm trees.
Arrive at Mehat Solah for lunch in the shade of the palm trees.
After some time to rest, continue in the afternoon towards the great dunes of Erg Chegaga.
Settle into the camp before climbing the highest dune, approximately 300 metres high, to watch the sunset.
Sandboarding equipment is available at the camp. Whether standing or lying on the board, descending the dunes is an unforgettable experience, from exciting steeper slopes to gentler, more relaxing runs.
Return to the camp for welcome tea, dinner and a traditional music evening around the campfire.
Day 2
After watching the sunrise over the dunes and having breakfast, return to M’Hamid by 4×4, with a stop at a desert well along the way. Arrival is expected at approximately 11:00 am.
